The little brown haired pixie looked up from his bed. His brother was up, standing in the sunlight.
Out of the window, the big buildings of the town could be seen. All shapes and sizes and they were all on the lean.
Atop one was a big yellow helicopter, with a big red cross on the side.
Up it flew, turned in a big circle and landed on their house. The two pixies climbed on their house and hopped into the helicopter.
Away went the yellow helicopter up into the air.
But still they flew on until they reached the biggest building. They ran into it, drawing their dressing gowns around them, past some people going here and there.
In through a door was a piano and the fair haired pixie started playing pretty music while the brown haired one looked around.
After a while they decided to go home, so they ran back to the helicopter and away they went. Down below them huge elephants bearing red riders crashed around in a circle.
When they were home again the brown haired pixie told his family about their adventures. Little Timmy just ate a banana. Daddy said "You couldn't have seen the buildings, you couldn't have seen the dawn. The sun is only just coming up and the curtains are all drawn."
The brown haired pixie looked at his fair haired brother and said "It must have been a dream then. Did you have the same dream?"
His brother looked bewildered, though he said "yes".
The boy with brown hair awoke with the sun in his eyes, lying in his normal bed. He didn't feel like a pixie anymore, but he still remembered everything that happened in the dream where he dreamt he was dreaming.
His family were still asleep, still in their own pixie-lands.
WE'RE ALL PIXIES WHEN WE ARE ASLEEP.
